Introducing “Building for the Future”

Sunwealth’s new, multi-part blog series will highlight how we are harnessing innovative technologies, policy, and partnerships to expand our impact.

Over the last nine years, Sunwealth has accumulated expertise in community-based solar and impact –financing and developing solar projects while delivering electricity savings, green jobs, and emissions reductions to communities across the country. But we know that accelerating the clean energy transition requires rejecting complacency and scaling our impact through continuous advocacy, learning, and innovation.

In our new multi-part blog series, “Building for the Future,” we are highlighting the way Sunwealth is growing our impact through harnessing innovative climate-focused technologies, policy, and partnerships.

BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE

In this first installment, we share how we are employing the Inflation Reduction Act’s tax credit incentives by installing projects in areas facing disproportionate climate burdens and limited access to solar.

Part I: The IRA

Next, we will discuss Virtual Power Plants (VPP), utilizing the Department of Energy’s recent report and a case study of the work we are doing at Sunwealth to design and develop impactful community-based projects that also more reliably serve our electricity markets.

Part II: VPPs

In the following two blogs, we will utilize case studies of our own projects to discuss Zero Net Energy (ZNE) buildings and Solar + Storage, new technologies which further amplify solar’s resilience, grid penetration, and sustainability.

Part III: New Technologies

Then, we will showcase some of the innovative, community building work of our partners – key collaborators in our efforts towards a better energy future.

Part IV: Our Partners

In our collective efforts to build a better energy future, advocacy, learning, and innovation takes many forms. What does “Building for the Future” mean to you?
