Department of Energy Highlights Sunwealth Projects as Models for Equitable Community Solar

The Department of Energy (DOE) has selected three of Sunwealth's projects as finalists for the grand prize in their Sunny Awards for Equitable Community Solar.

Announced this summer by the DOE's Solar Energy Technologies Office, The Sunny Awards seek to recognize "community solar projects and programs that employ or develop best practices to increase equitable access to the meaningful benefits of community solar for subscribers and their communities."

Sunwealth submitted three projects – our solar portfolio with the New York City Housing Authority, our project with the National Blue Army Shrine of Our Lady Fatima, and our project at Boston Properties' CityPoint at Totten Pond – and all three were named among 50 finalists highlighted by DOE. We were also delighted to see a number of our partners, including Resonant Energy and SolarOne make the DOE list.
